Broward League 2024 Election education work reached thousands of voters

  • Tabling Events: 57 events resulting in distribution of 158 Voter Registration forms (111 new and 47 update), 456 Vote-By-Mail request forms, 165 QR scans for SOE website, 138 returning citizen information postcards; approximately 700 volunteer hours (57 x 4 hours x 3 person)

     

  • Give Aways: 5,500 “Vote411” Wrist-bands; 1,000 US Flag Pins; 500 “Woke Folks Vote” Fans; 500 Rainbow Folding Fans

     

  • LWVFL Voter Guides (printed): 4000 English, 2200 Spanish and 1000 Creole Voter Guides delivered to 34 libraries and 5 senior citizen complexes, with a few distributed at Cooper City and Lauderhill candidate forums.

     

  • LWVFL Voter Guides (downloads via LWVBC website): 2,112 English, 300 Spanish and 291 Haitian Creole

    • Hybrid (in-person and broadcast over Comcast): Cooper City (1), Lauderdale-By-The-Sea (1); approximately 225 attendees in-person; Comcast viewers unknown
    • Virtual: Circuit Court Judges, County Court Judges, School Districts 1, 2, 3, 5 & 9, Supervisor of Elections, Tax Collector, Clerk of Circuit Court, Sheriff Democratic Primary; 12,492 views on Facebook and YouTube combined

     

  • LWVFL Florida Constitutional Amendments 2-page Handout: 2,450 copies distributed at “Decision 2024” presentations and at tabling events.

     

  • Election Protection Poll Monitoring: 60 volunteer hours

     

  • Canvassing Board Monitoring:75 volunteer hours

     

     

  • Postcards

     

  • LWVBC phone: responded to 45 voice messages

     

  • Kids Voting Broward (http://kidsvotingbroward.org/): provided Directory of Elected Officials and Broward County District Maps to upload to website

     

     

    While not part of Voter Services,other important efforts:

  • Speakers Bureau made 46 “Decision 2024” presentations with 1,556 attendees.

     

  • Vote411 covered 149 races with 176 candidates in 23 cities and 14 Special Districts plus 126 Charter Amendments for 23 cities and Broward County.
  • “Yes on 4” postcards: 1,000 mailed

  • “I Vote Because” postcards: 1,000 mailed

  • “Returning Citizens” postcards: 2,750 mailed
