Some Good News!
The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact bill has passed both the Virginia State House and Senate and is expected to be signed by Gov. Abigail Spanberger shortly. Virginia will join 17 other states and the District of Columbia that have passed the NPVIC. This will bring the count to 222 out of the 270 Electoral College votes required to activate NPV. Only 48 more are needed to ensure that the candidate who receives the most popular votes nationally will also have encough Electoral College votes to win the presidency.
