Susan Spragg honored during Women's History Month

The Broward County Commission on the Status of Women is honoring 14 leaders who contribute to the social, economic and political history of our community., including League leader Susan Spragg. It's part of Women's History Month, which has as its theme “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future."

Susan, a Fort Lauderdale native, is a retired financial professional with 30 years experience in real estate, development, and automotive industries.

She holds degrees from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Florida Atlantic University.

Susan has led and participated in numerous professional and community organizations, including the  League of Women Voters, the Junior League, Women of Color Empowerment Institute, and Fort Lauderdale Historical Society.

In retirement, she advocates for social justice, serving on the Racial Equity Task Force and her church’s Anti-Racism ministry, and chairs the City’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, promoting equity, education, and community engagement.
