General Meeting: Facts about the New Immigration Laws

About this event

During the last Florida legislative session, two laws affecting our Immigrant communities were passed and signed into law: SB 1718: Immigration and SB 264: Interests of Foreign Countries. Many times, the verbage contained in laws is complicated and difficult to understand.

Join us for a discussion with Representative Marie Woodson of District 105, and Otayme "Otto" Valenzuela of Children of Immigrant Families Coalition*, who will share insights into what these laws do and don't do.

*"The Children of Immigrant Families Coalition works with like-minded organizations, coalitions, and individuals to uplift each other’s work and collaborate when opportunities arise.

The Mission of the Children of Immigrant Families Coalition is: To empower Florida’s immigrant families, amplify their voices, and enhance the lives of their children."
