Where do I vote?

Your voter information card informs you of the precinct (polling place) where you would vote on Election Day. Can’t find this card? Go to www.browardvotes.gov, click on “Election Day Precincts” button. Provide the information required and your precinct number and location will be provided. Locations used for Early Voting are NOT open on Election Day unless they happen to be a precinct (polling place).

If you have moved and didn’t update your voter registration information, you can still vote!! Ask your neighbors where the precinct (polling place) is for your neighborhood. When you check-in to vote, you will be asked if you want to update your address, so plan for a few extra minutes when you vote.

What are the hours for voting?

The polls open at 7 am and close at 7 pm. Any person in line to vote at 7 pm will be allowed to vote. The polls will stay open until everyone in the line at that time has voted.

What do I need to bring in order to vote?

You need to bring a photo identification with signature. The quickest IDs to process are your Florida Driver License or Florida Identification Card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Other acceptable identifications can be found at: https://www.browardsoe.org/Voter-Information/Voter-ID-Requirements If your picture ID does not contain a signature, an additional document from this list which includes your signature will need to be provided.

Why do I need to show identification with a picture and signature?

ID required and checked at the polls is used solely to confirm the voter’s identity, not to verify the voter’s ID number or address. The photograph on the ID is compared to the person standing before the poll worker. The poll worker will compare this signature with the signature on the ID provided.

What if I don’t have a picture ID with a signature?

If the voter’s picture ID does not contain a signature, an additional document from the list of acceptable identifications which includes your signature may be used in combination with the picture ID.

The address on my driver’s license doesn’t match the address in the voter registration record. Can I still vote?

Yes, the address on the driver’s license does not need to match the address in the voter registration record. If you have moved and haven’t changed your driver license to reflect your new address, that’s okay. When you check-in to obtain your ballot, you will be asked if you want to update your address, so plan for a few extra minutes to vote.
