Being a member of the League of Women Voters is a great way to get involved in our community and play an active role in our democracy. Our members are passionate activists who make meaningful connections and friendships.

OUR MISSION

The League of Women Voters
is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization that encourages informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

For over 100 years, we have believed in the power of women to create a more perfect democracy and that voters should play a critical role in government. Above all, we are steadfast in our commitment to empowering voters.

OUR WORK

The League of Women Voters
has always been on the forefront of efforts to strengthen democracy, especially by registering and educating voters. The League does not support or oppose political parties or candidates.  We take action and lobby for positions on specific issues after study and consensus.

  • You can make a donation directly to LWVBC on the second page of the joining or renewing process.
  • A donation must be a separate transaction from a dues payment.
  • WE RECOMMEND ALL DONATIONS BE MADE ON THIS WEBSITE.
