Why support LWVBC

The Broward County League is a volunteer-driven grass-roots organization. You’ll see our volunteers at tables at community events registering voters and talking about how, when and where to vote.

We've been working to make Broward County a better place for decades. Years ago, it was the Broward League that fought to establish a county library system and a tax-supported Children's Services Council.

Speakers Bureau

We give free presentations discussing the issues on the ballot and the potential outcome of a "yes" or "no" vote. In 2024, we presented our Decision 2024 program to 46 groups with 1,556 voters attending

Voter Guides

In 2024, we distributed 7,200 printed voter guides to 34 libraries and five senior citizen complexes. Available in three languages -- English, Spanish and Creole, they were also digitally posted on our website.

Candidate Forums

It's important to know the people who are running to lead our local municipalities and our county. During the 2024 elections, we hosted 17 non-partisan in-person and on-line forums, reaching more than 13,000 Broward residents.

Community Support

Our action teams focus on educating Broward residents about critical community issues like voter registration, gun violence prevention, environmental, education, affordable housing and health care.
