About this event
As we celebrate 101 years of both the League and the 19th amendment, it's time to look towards the next century of American democracy.
Join us at 1 PM ET on June 2nd for a conversation with staffers from a few of the most influential offices in Congress. We’ll reflect on the many civil rights successes we have witnessed, the continued fight to protect the right to vote, and a vision for our democracy in the 21st century.
Hear from legislators like Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Angus King, and share your questions on a panel that includes:
- Laura Peterson, Legislative Counsel for Senator Tester,
- Allison Hunn, Policy Advisor and Counsel for Senator Merkley; &
- Bill VanHorne, Chief Counsel for Senator Cardin.
