Beginning in August 2019 as a prelude to the 100th aniversary of the 19th Amendmentt, an assembly of LWVBC members and friends meet monthly to discuss a book chosen by the group. Led by Bradette Jepsen, a Past President of LWVBC and published author, our early focus on the Suffragists and the movement they created has expanded. Reading selections continue to favor stories of strong women - women of diverse backgrounds, both past and present. Best sellers, works of non-fiction, and even a graphic novel have been discussed and debated.
Discussion is informal and all are encouraged to participate - or just listen.
