Our Democracy Story

Our Democracy Story Host Call organized by Declaration for American Democracy Coalition

Join the Declaration for American Democracy Coalition and the League of Women Voters to learn how to host a storytelling event in your community to spread crucial information about the For the People Act!

To pass the For the People Act (H.R. 1/S. 1) –the boldest and most sweeping bill in decades to realize the promise of our democracy, limit big money in politics, and protect the freedom to vote– it is important that we build as much excitement and pressure as possible!

The For the People Act will have a massive and tangible impact on our democracy and in our lives, and we need to let as many people as possible know about the importance of passing it by sharing our stories, sharing information, and inviting our communities to be a part of the movement to pass S1. It will take all of us to mobilize our families, friends, and neighbors, and the most effective and meaningful way to reach out is through storytelling, a powerful tool for engaging and energizing people around a cause.

That’s why we launched “Our Democracy Story” last week. In the workshop, we heard powerful stories that illustrate why we need the For The People Act and learned to tell our own democracy stories to urge others to act at this critical time.

This week, we will host another training session on how to host your own story-telling event to spread critical info about the For the People Act and to inspire your community to take action.

Across the country, people are signing up to host events to do their part to fight for our democracy. Join today to host a fun and moving storytelling event for your community!
