Three countywide offices will be on the August 20 ballot - Supervisor of Elections, Tax Collector and Clerk of the Circuit Court. Since the candidates in all 3 races belong to the same party and there are no write-in candidates or independent candidates on the November 5 ballot, these 3 races are universal or open primaries. All registered voters can vote in these 3 races, no matter their party affiliation or if registered as no party affiliation.
